CAVA will open in Greenwich on October 31 and Rye Ridge later in November

Leading Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant and culinary brand CAVA will begin serving its signature balanced-yet-craveable menu at a new location at 129 West Putnam Avenue, Greenwich, CT 06830 today, with a further restaurant set to open its doors in nearby Rye Ridge later in November. The newest openings mark the 40th and 41st in CAVA’s growing estate of restaurants and the latest in a series of openings in 2017 that has seen its presence grow from 24 to over 40 locations nationwide in under 12 months.

Conveniently located in central Greenwich, the newest restaurant is blocks from Greenwich Avenue and features ample parking as well as a custom-designed digital ordering pick-up area.

On the day of opening, CAVA invites Greenwich locals to join the team for a community lunch – a tradition that started with the very first restaurant opening back in 2011 and rooted in the heritage of its three founders. “Sharing a meal was part of our culture and how we welcomed our new neighbors growing up,” said Co-Founder Ted Xenohristos.

The Greenwich community can join CAVA for free lunch from 12 and 2pm and pay it forward with a donation to Grow To Learn, CAVA’s local non-profit partner, whose mission is to create green spaces where children and teens can learn about urban gardening, sustainability and healthy eating.

Meanwhile, Rye Ridge will open its doors later in November at 5 Rye Ridge Plaza, Rye Brook on the lower plaza level.

“We are excited to introduce our bold, innovative, and healthy on-the-go cuisine to the communities of Greenwich and Rye Ridge. Greenwich marks our first restaurant in Connecticut and we can’t wait to get to know the neighborhood here. Rye Ridge is an exciting community to be in, just outside of Manhattan, giving New Yorkers even more opportunities to enjoy their favorite meals with us,” commented CEO, Brett Schulman.

CAVA offers a customizable menu of over 50 offerings including its signature Crazy Feta, Border Springs Spicy Lamb Meatballs, and Cauliflower Quinoa Tabbouleh as well as creative rotating seasonal offerings of juices, soups, and roasted vegetables. CAVA is committed to working with best in class food partners including local farmers and makers.

CAVA’s fall menu, which launched on September 18, boasts seasonal additions including Greek Minestrone with Harissa, sweet and crunchy Carrots & Currants, and a refreshing line-up of house-made juices and teas.

The new Greenwich location is 2400 square feet and will seat 50 people at 129 West Putnam Avenue, Greenwich, CT 06830. Hours: Daily, 11am-10pm.

The new Rye Ridge location is 3311 square feet and will seat 66 people at 5 Rye Ridge Plaza, Rye Brook, NY 10573. Hours: Daily, 11am-10pm.
