RYE RIDGE SHOPPING CENTER SIGNS BALDUCCI’S FOOD LOVER’S MARKET AS NEW ANCHOR

March 2, 2016 – Rye Brook NY – The Rye Ridge Shopping Center, Rye Plaza and Rye South are excited to announce that Balducci’s Food Lover’s Market has signed a long term lease for over 18,000 square feet  of the space recently vacated by D’agostino’s Market. The Rye Brook location will be the latest prototype and the 7 th full service Balducci’s in the US and will join successful local locations in Westport, Greenwich and Scarsdale.  The chain currently operates locations in New York, Connecticut, Maryland and Virginia. Balducci’s plan to open this Fall.

In 1946, in New York City, Louis Balducci, an Italian immigrant, opened a “mom and pop” vegetable and fruit stand. In 1972 he opened the first Balducci’s storefront on Sixth Avenue in New York City.  Balducci’s was the first retail concept in New York City to sell premium quality foods with a butcher, fishmonger, delicatessen and green grocer all under one roof introducing many city dwellers to exotic, different foods and the art of cooking.
