For a week beginning on Monday, October 17th, Sportech will donate a portion of their sales to Gilda’s Club Westchester.  Gilda’s Club, a non-profit organization located in White Plains, is a warm and inviting place that offers emotional and social support for individuals, families and friends whose lives have been touched by cancer.  They offer support groups, lectures, workshops and social activity.  Gilda’s Club is where support, information, fellowship, laughter and understanding meet, free of charge.

On Saturday, October 22nd, Sportech will culminate the week and invite the community to celebrate its 25th anniversary.  From noon to 4:00 there will be face painting, free popcorn and cotton candy, games and Halloween window painting at the Rye Ridge Shopping Center in Rye Brook. From 3:00 to 5:00 there will be young magicians entertaining the crowd, and author Valerie Lazar will be on hand to discuss and sign her new book, Golf From Point A.  From 4:00 to 6:00, world-class violinist Lorenzo Laroc will be performing.  Mr. Laroc is a classically trained violinist whose blend of jazz and pop has been performed at Madison Square Garden, a dinner party for Princess Kate and Prince William and has recently returned from a concert tour of Southeast Asia.  He has been on the New York music scene for over thirty years and we are delighted to have him perform for this fun event.
