The Blum Center for Health, Rye Ridge
Sick of being tired? Tired of being sick? Looking to age well and stress less? Need post-cancer care — or simply have an interest in healthy cooking? All of this and more is addressed at the new Blum Center for Health, which takes a holistic approach to healing the mind and body. Dr. Susan Blum, the founder, who has more than 10 years experience in medicine and is on staff at Greenwich Hospital, likes to address the whole patient and considers everything from what you eat to where you live. The center’s pride and joy is the Nutrition Kitchen, where you can sign up for classes, including Cooking for Teens, Food for the Thyroid, Healthy Meals in a Hurry, Cancer Fighting Foods and more. There are also meditation and visualization classes along with other special services such as help with weight loss, learning how to get a better night’s sleep and new approaches to pain management. An on-site concierge can walk you through all the options.
